Guided by Legacy, Grounded in Excellence

Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, Brad's connection to the North Carolina mountains began in his youth during family summers spent in the region. His academic journey started at Hampden-Sydney College, where he graduated cum laude in 2000, earning the highest academic award for his senior thesis on acclaimed American author Flannery O'Connor. Following his undergraduate studies, Brad pursued a Master of Theological Studies at Duke Divinity School, graduating summa cum laude in 2002.

Inspired by his father's legacy, Brad attended the University of Florida Levin College of Law, graduating in 2007. He established his legal career in Florida, where he spent over a decade developing expertise in guardianships, estate planning, probate and trust administration, and fiduciary litigation. His exceptional work earned him an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer recognition for ethical standards and legal ability.

Trusted Legal Counsel with Deep Local Roots

Brad's professional development includes membership in Florida's Real Property and Probate Trust Law (RPPTL) Section, and he was selected for the Inaugural Class of the Florida Fellows Institute. Licensed to practice in both Florida and North Carolina, he brings valuable cross-state experience to his clients.

The mountains of North Carolina ultimately called Brad and his family home. Along with his wife and five children, he relocated to be closer to extended family, establishing deep roots in the Hendersonville community. Brad actively serves on the boards of both The Blue Ridge Literacy Council and the parish council of Immaculate Conception Church, demonstrating his commitment to community service.

At Strauss Attorneys, Brad focuses his practice on estate planning, elder law, and nursing home planning, helping clients navigate these crucial life decisions with compassion and expertise. His unique background in theology, combined with his extensive legal experience, allows him to approach client matters with both technical skill and profound understanding of family dynamics.
